Dr. Klára Frecerová graduated from Comenius University Medical Faculty in 1979. She has completed her training in Paediatric pulmonology in the National Institute of Tuberculosis and Respiratory Diseases and received her postgraduate degrees in Paediatrics in 1982 and Pneumophtisiology in 1987.
Work related experience:
- 24 years of medical practice in paediatric pulmonology
- Founder and Coordinator of the Community based Programme of early identification and early intervention of children with special needs in the region of Podunajsko, Slovakia (1992-2002)
- Fellowship in Developmental Paediatrics at Georgetown University, Washington, DC (1994)
- Coordinator of the US-Czech and Slovak Science and Technology Joint Fund Project, funded by Department of Health and Human Services (1993-1996)
- Training and Academic Awards Programme/Know How Fund, completed a course in Health Management, Birmingham University, UK (1997)
- Coordinator of the PHARE funded programme Decentralization of Social Services – community respite care (1997)
- Awarded recognition for international leadership in promoting family-centered, community based care for children with special health care needs by US DHHS (2000)
- Experience in state administration with focus on international health agenda, member of health committees in the European Union, Council of Europe(2004-2008)
